What do you do when you're sentenced to eight years behind bars for accidentally killing the one you love in a tragic car accident? Even more, what do you do when you've been released two years into your sentencing on parole?

After being released on parole, Aleonna has to re-accustom herself to not living by the harsh guidelines she's had to for the past two years, but rather by the ones set forth by her lawyer and parole officer. But can she do so when she can't let go of her past and her past crimes? Especially when they're determined to follow her everywhere she goes?
