Happy birthday ...not

When Kaitlin arrives to school, on her birthday, she realises it doesn't all go to plan then she meets this wonderful boy at her best friends house and she immediately fall in love with him. Slowly their love grows and they become close but will one get hurt or will they both get hurt? Then there is her mother and father who don't love her or care for her but slowly her mum realises she needs her daughter an her daughter needs her, her dad is a loser and will never grow up, but will her mum fall back into the trap of booze and drugs or will she grow up too?
