Clary is alone. Her mother's nowhere to be found, and Luke's gone looking for her like always. The Clave push and push her, until she finally snaps. In the blur of her rage, a particularly awful Clave member gets their throat slit. She's a fugitive, running as far as possible from Idris. But, who to run to?
