There's a world with magic and a silent bond between two people. When they dream, they will see their partner's point of view, in what they are doing at the time. It's said in old tales that these two are destined for each other, they are their true love. In the past, it was traditional to be with your bound partner. Now, in more modern times people can love others who they are not bound to. When you dream, you will see what they are seeing. You don't know who they are, and they don't know who you are. It can be figured out while looking at their surroundings. If they are sleeping while you are sleeping, neither of you dream. If your "bound partner" dies, you will never dream again. So if you both sleep at the same times, it can be scary, to think about "are they sleeping or have they died?" It's a love mystery, and it always is pleasant to find that person you are bound to. With the world greatly expanding, it gets harder and harder to find them. Often, people will have romantic partners if they haven't met who they are bound to. Yet, when their boyfriend/girlfriend is sleeping with them, they still dream about what their bound partner is doing. The longer the time goes on, the more people will deny that culture belief anymore, even though they still dream of what the other person does. Even more recently, it's been said that it doesn't have to be love bound. But rather, someone who can also be your best friend, or like a sibling. So what's the truth? They don't have to be in love right? Yet when two bound souls are together, there is an attraction and relationship already built with trust and familiarity, even if it is their first time meeting.
