Author's Note

The world is balance. For the people of the countries of Pearl and Onyx, there is no threat of war, government corruption or inequality. Their societies are sustained because the people of Pearl live for selflessness and the people of Onyx live for selfishness; not because they want to, but because they can't live any other way. However when Angeline of Pearl and Accident of Onyx gain the ability to think beyond their boundaries, they become victims of a system bent on keeping the world in check.
