Prologue

Burnt to a crisp, the earth was killed by ambitious creatures that succeeded in their plan to take over the world and enslave the human race. Many years after they've constructed their cities and increased their population, the land around them grew back with new species of plant and animal, soon interesting them with needed materials and precious gems for trade. They send out their top humans to gather these items and bring them back without dying.
But a few of humans figure out what the creatures have done to them when they come upon a group that had survived the fires long ago. They rebel against the creatures, fleeing from the city and delving into the depths of the uncharted jungles where no man has left before.
