It's all about the survival of the fittest in the wild, and it isn't any different for the Clans - to survive, cats must be able to hunt and fight, and to hunt and fight, cats need claws to aid them. In ThunderClan, everything seems well for the cats - they had abundance prey and good health; nothing seemed wrong. Every cat was excited for the birth of Starlingwing's first litter of kits. She bore four healthy kits... however, one of them have a slight defect that may affect her entire life - missing claws. The Clan was horrified. How can a cat survive without claws? How was the small kit going to survive if she was attacked? Even worse, every cat was shocked at the little kit's eye colour - brown. It was unheard of for a cat to have brown eyes.
