Phoenix Rose Dawson is no stranger to loss. Losing her mother to a fatal car accident at the age of 12, she has no choice but to be the only one to watch her father wither and die of cancer five years later. Shipped off to California the summer before her senior year of high school, she makes new friends and deals with new drama and problems. Until she gets a call from her doctor with terrible news. Now, not sure how much longer she really has, she has a list of things to do before her end comes. Will she live through the summer? And if she does, who knows what's to come for her final year of high school?
