Description
In a world gone mad and overrun with monsters, a group of rowdy, tough, and nearly indestructible science experiments struggle to take in the new status quo. A once-digital plague has wiped out most of the human population, turning them into flesh-devouring freaks. The rest, it would seem, are as good as dead. Luckily, a secret government facility in the depths of the Nevadan desert has developed a sort of superhuman: creatures that are immune to the disease and are fighting to find a cure. Trixie: She doesn't care about anyone but herself, and her mate. Well, sort of. Somebody has to keep the rest of these freaks in line, right? But they'll never know how much she actually relies on them, or how badly she wants to save the world. Jakob: As hard as they tried, the scientists that created him just didn't get it right. As much as he would like to, he just can't love his mate, and he turned to crazy, murderous experiments to find a cure for the virus. Now, he mainly sticks to the desert on a quest for redemption. Maya: If any of them are helpful, it's Maya. Well, she tries. She's a bit of an odd duck, you see. Unwavering cheerfulness and creativity might help boost morale, but when it comes to getting things done, she doesn't always think it through all the way. But isn't life with a plan a bit boring? It seems like between them and their little family, anything is possible, but there's one problem. They don't know what the hell is going on. In their underground mansion, they're safe from the walking dead, but how do you save the human race when they're constantly trying to rip out your throat with their teeth?
