The Price

"We'll take half of your life to save your sister's. That is our price. Will you pay it?”

Amberly looked around—at the grey sky, at the stone wall, and at the blonde man. His expression offered no advice. He just stared at her and smoked his cigarette. She turned back to the pixie, unable to stop the tears from falling from her eyes.

“Take my life,” she said.
