Preface

Her name was Ava Halterman and she was a sweet natured girl with a placid dispositon. She had always been careful, whether it be in terms of money or her education, she was smart to never take unnecessary risks. She was also known to obediently follow her parents every request and was a pleasant friend to whomever had the pleasure of making her acquaintance. Yet, how then had it come about that she fell hopelessly and passionately in love? But it would seem I'm getting ahead of myself now aren't I? For it is Ava's story to tell.
