This is the story of a fifth grade teacher and her complicated life and the man that comes into it, making it even more complicated. Benedict meets Cassie and wants to know everything about her, but she keeps pushing him away and shutting him out. No matter how many times he gets rejected, he will not give up because something in this girl sparks something in him.

Will Cassie let him in? Will Benedict ever give up? But, more importantly, will she get back into her old habits as her past starts to come back to her?
