Description
If you want a full story- Cassie is still suffering from the recent loss of her best friend and is finding it hard to let people in, seeing as how the only person she ever fully let in died. She thinks that Serena's death was her fault and is finding it hard to cope. She meets Alice, a girl her age who is going through the same thing and they become good friends, their parents decide it would be benificial for them to get out of their judgmental town and go to a new boarding school. If you only want a short story- Cassie and her best friend Serena were driving home from a concert when they saw an animal on the road, Cassie tried to swerve around it, but the roads were icy and she lost control of the car, then woke up in a hospital bed with no best friend. She thinks Serena's death is her fault, and changes, she is no longer her happy-go-lucky self, rather a quiet girl who tends to keep to her self, and is feeling more than slightly depressed. Her therapist tells her to make a speech at her school where she realises that some things happen that you have no control over, and you cant blame yourself for them.
