Calypso: A Novel

Anita Harris just wants her daughter to be safe. That proves hard when her mother beats her everyday. After police find her and the baby beaten half to death, they are taken to a foster home. Anita meets six-year old Carrie and must now take responsibility for her as well at they endure the foster home. Will they escape with just scars, or will they barely escape with their lives?
