Repent

The year is 3027, and humanity is delving deep into space. Some of their colonies are rich and prosperous, but those on the frontier survive with basic technologies not seen since the days of the American West. On the frontier desert planet of Shadarkul, a terrible plague arises that kills all it touches, but raises the dead as ravenous monsters. Forced into the wild are an outlaw starship captain, a young dragoness, a psychic alien, and a robot searching for the meaning of life. But before they can learn to survive in this world of zombies, bandits, and desert monsters, they must first learn to understand each other.
