Patrick knows there's something under his bed. He's known since he was four. His parents knew nothing about the mysterious monster under his bed. Mr. Sandman sings the boy to sleep every night, and constantly talks to Patrick.

When the boy turns 17, Mr. Sandman is all he has. His parents have neglected him, and he's bullied at school on a daily basis. Finally, Mr. Sandman decides it's time to comfort Patrick.
