Being a rebel isn't easy. That's something I learned at a fairly young age. You have no home because you can't stay anywhere for too long, you're always on the run, everyone thinks you're dangerous or that what you're doing is pointless, and you always risk losing the people you care about. On Homeworld things aren't fair. Everything is done orderly in a way Yellow Diamond thinks is acceptable and no one else gets a say in anything. Unless you choose not to live under the law and rebel. I chose the latter. So I spend most of my time running from Diamond authority and causing as much trouble as possible for the Diamond empire.
