Prologue

"This is Max, a friend from when I was younger," JJ gestured at the guy in front of me. He looked like a blonde Zac Efron. JJ then looked at me, "and this is Charlotte, my ex-girlfriends ex-best-friend. It's
confusing."

"Hi, I'm the fore-told Charlotte." I waved awkwardly at him.

"And I'm Max."

"And I'm going to leave." JJ said, smiling wickedly and walking away. I saw him turn the corner, the
footsteps stopped and his head peeped out.

"That creepy mother fu-" Max started.

"You and me both brother." He turned to me.

"How did JJ never get a girl like you?"

"He's like my sibling." I shrug, cringing at the idea of JJ and me together.

"And I'll like to be more than your sibling, if you know what I mean."
