Chapter 1

The blood covers the floor. I see it without seeing it. The crimson staining my hands. Screaming echos in the air. I hear it without truly hearing it. Is it me? Am I screaming? The scent of iron fills my nose. I smell it without smelling it. Why is it suffocating my airway? The sticky feel of the scarlet on my hands and legs. I feel it without really feeling it. Is it my blood?
