Gracie's past hasn't exactly been a blast. She doesn't like to talk about it, in fact the only person who knows is her older brother, Colton.

When a fatal car accident occurs that kills her entire family except for her sister, her life completely crumbles.

Feeling alone and depressed, she and her sister are taken in by their parents friends. Being in a different surrounding, she finds it hard to adjust to her new life. There she meets a strange boy they call Cain Evans, who she doesn't particular like at all. Though it seems as if he is everywhere.

Will he be the reason her heart beats, or be the cause of her ultimate destruction?
