"This is Mr. Dallosure, your daughters English teacher. I'm sorry to inform you, but Willa's grades are quit low, and I'd hate to see such a bright student fail my class. So I'm calling to suggest a tutor for support in your child's education."

"Oh, my. Well, yes, if you suggest it then I'll do anything to help her grades come up. Who would be her mentor then?"

"I would be, of course. No body knows the material I teach as well as myself, ma'am. Would every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday be open to Willa Reed's schedule?"
