Prologue

I grabbed her warm, fragile hand and pulled her towards the cabin to have a thorough and personal conversation. I was starting to feel uneasy in front of her friends. But she yanked my hand away.

I heard her other friend asked, "Is there something wrong, Sel?"

"No, nothing," Selena firmly replied. "Niall was just leaving, right?"

I stared at her. I couldn't believe what I was seeing before me. She was. . different.

"So you think all those times we spent together were just nothing to you?" I spat back, now feeling slightly furious. "You kissed me, Selena. You can't just kiss anyone like that. Especially, a friend."
