brooklyn hunter has been through a whole lot of shit. first, her best friend, who was also her boyfriend, stopped talking to her. then, he started spreading rumors. that was only the beginning. not only did he spread rumors, he also told everyone everything about her. so now, so many guys will come up to her in the hallway of her school and ask her out. they'll say they love her, exploiting her biggest weakness. because one thing her ex-best friend/boyfriend told everyone, was that she loved when people cared. her parents didn't, so when people told her they loved her, it meant the world. she found herself asking the same question too often.
