i DONT want a mate

Prologue: Most girls dream of being swept off their feet by their perfect prince charming; werewolves are no different. Every one I've ever met has fantasized about the day they found their mate, the one who would complete them like that final puzzle piece. I however don't quite share that sentiment. I absolutely loathe the thought of having a mate, and despise the fact that the moon goddess gave me one. What makes it worse is try as i might, i can't get away from him. My name is Selena, i am only 17 with a past that would make those with even an ounce of compassion weep. Everyone always remarks about the fact that I am strong, but I am strong because I had to take care of myself. I know that for most werewolves they rely on their pack, but I don't have that option.
