Chapter 1

Alani is a mermaid. She moved to Hawaii to try and live with humans. Mermaids could be on land as long as it was day time and they didn't get wet. Alani is 21, the age where mermaids are left on their own. She lives on a secluded beach in a small beach house. She has a pet shark, Bruno, that is her pet. One day while swimming she comes upon a boat wreck and meets Lux.

Lux is a human. One day while enjoying a nice day on his boat something goes wrong. The boat sinks and he is saved by a mysterious girl. She takes care of him and once he is back on his feet he intends to find her and not let her go. But she is very elusive. How will he keep the slippery girl in his grasp? Will he find out her secret?
