Addison Matthews, otherwise known as Addie, is looking forward to spending her Christmas curling up with a good book, drinking hot chocolate, and watching the snow fall. When someone named Jake Roberts shows up at her doorstep with cookies in his hand, she welcomes him into the house, curious as to who he is.
