"Connor" he says, his face still blank. He looks me in the eyes and shakes his head before laughing slightly. "You look absolutely terrified"

"Well yea. I just told you that I love you and I have no idea what you're thinking. That's kind of terrifying" I say and laugh nervously.

"I love you, Connor"
