Description
Edmund Quentin Lockwood, the child genius Europe has been following around ever since he was 5. Edmund had made his first discovery, he found the sequence of prime numbers. The science community and press blow up around him, after years of peace, he is thrown back into the spotlight. Edmund is dragged to conferences by his father, whether Edmund or his father had been invited. On one of the conferences to which his father had been invited, they meet an old friend. Edmund's father's old college mate, Charles Ryder. Edmund can't take his eyes of the man and there's a strange feeling in his chest. What's happening to him? Charles Ryder, the most successful lawyer in England and one of the best friends of William Lionel Lockwood, the CEO of Shrike Banking. Charles had shared a dorm with William back in college and they were very good mates. They had kept in touch but as their careers kicked in, the meet-ups became less frequent. That's how Charles had only seen William's son, Edmund, in press photographs and/or on the telly. Charles had to admit, the boy was intriguing. So when William calls and tells him that on his next conference Edmund will be there, Charles knows he needs to go. But when he finally meets the boy things get more complicated than he imagined. Charles thought Edmund was adorable on the pictures but in real life he took it to the next level.
