Prologue - Normal? If Only

It's been three months since her brother died, and sixteen-year-old Holly Delgado feels like she's losing control. Losing control of her family, her friends, herself; little by little, her life is slipping out of her grasp, and only one thing helps: music.

She retreats into the comforting release of music, moving farther and farther away from the outside world. Until she meets Matthew, a very special boy who has problems similar to her own.

With Matthew's help, Holly feels for the first time that she may be able to take control of her life again. But is it real? How long can she hide before she has to face the music?
