Alternate Universe: Sarah has reached her 21st birthday and discovers a pair of glasses that date back to the mid 1700's. When she puts them on she sees the lives of a family that no longer exists, and goes on a quest to discover what it means.

Meanwhile, Jareth gets dreams of a young woman (Sarah) who appears to be in a dazed state, only to be reciting the memories of his late wife who had passed away with the rest of his family long ago.
