King of the Shadows. It was his title. He had fought for it hadn't he? Killed for it. He'd earned it. He should glory in this, his world, his power. He had never known anything else. But then, where did that little flame of guilt come from? Why did that little, tiny flame always scream in agony?

Ridger never believed this day would come, to actually venture into the realm of shadows. Granted, they would not be far from the master, as well as hidden and shielded.
