When he met my gaze his eyes narrowed. "What?" he asked, the cigarette remaining between his lips.
I pursed my lips. "Nothing."
"Just say it, Pip."
His eyes were dark yet they pulled me in. I was starting to get lost in them before I spoke again.
"I never expected you to be a smoker," I admitted. "I always thought you were trying to keep up the golden boy appearance."
Hunter chuckled. "I gave up that facade a while ago. As for the smoking, it's a vice I can handle." He looks at the cigarette and rolls it between his fingers. "And I figure someone's going to end up killing me long before the smoke does."
