Prologue

A name like Venus can be intriguing all on its own, but Doll's new roommate has long, black hair and bright red lips to boot. With a cigarette consistently hanging from her well-manicured hands and a light slur on every one of her words, Venus is a 70's stereotype trapped inside a 21st-century enigma, and a complete mystery to Doll who's never-changing life gives her assurance of sound mind.

When their worlds collide at Vanderbilt University, everything changes. As Venus's mask of superiority is revealed as just that, Doll uncovers the gruesome past behind her roommate. The question is, once Doll knows the truth, will either of them be able to escape it?
