Prologue

I was completely compatible with Lia, my twin. We were best friends. Like, forever and always. But she would always take one of my lip glosses whenever I bought a new one and hide it away.

And then the kidnappers came.

We had separate rooms then. No one, not even my parents had heard the people taking out the windows. But by the time I realized someone was in the house, the window in Lia's room was shattered. And she was gone.

I had never found her stash of lip gloss. I had never had another one taken. Until now.

The clues lead me to something much more huge, and MUCH more important.
