The small town of Farnborough is all that Louise has known, as the devastating news of her mothers untimely death shakes up Louise's life, she is forced to embark on a journey across the country to the city of New York, to live with her last known family, her dad.
With an attitude of fire and a burning hate for her father, she is forced to settle into a life completely different from her own, with a new family, and a new school, Louise must learn to fight her demons and accept reality, but when she comes face to face with the boy next door, she has more to worry about then the demons inside her head.
