Prologue

Eomund longs for a life of adventure. But he gets more than he bargained for when a sudden fire destroys the only home he has ever known, and forces him into a life he does not want. Frustrated and in danger for his life, he runs away south and finds a land in need of a hero. Will Eomund find his place in the world? Can he overcome his past? Or will danger and misfortune follow him wherever he goes?
