Peridot fakes her amnesia to get help from the Crystal gems to bring her back to Yellow Diamond. But her superior sees this as a betrayal and punishes her with a very difficult cost.
After solving the first problem the gems did not realize another problem was building up as Lapis and Jasper decide to continue on the Diamond Authority's mission.
It's up for Peridot and her new team to finish this.
