Goodbye is such a common word when you're young. You always say goodbye before leaving for school and the split second before you hang up the phone. They're such common uses of the word. But, what is goodbye?

Goodbye is the saddest word in the English language. Goodbye is what I couldn't say. Goodbye is what I should have said, according to most people, but our goodbye was different. We never even said the word.

Our goodbye was beautiful.
