Chapter 1

In 1876, Lilly Morris made a promise to her father on his death bed that she would leave New York and go to Montana to live with her Aunt and Uncle on their ranch at only 18 years old. She wanted to stay in New York with her one and only friend Hector, but she could not break a promise to her father. Little did she know that her life would go in a path that she never saw coming when she meets Carter Woods who sweeps her off her feet. But there are so many things in their way that she feels that they may never be happy. What will happen when her family intervenes and tries to separate them?
