Description

“I wish I had you in a public square The whole town gathered around me With my broad sword and a pistol too I’d fight you for the life of my Geordie” I love Anais Mitchell's version of Child #209, 'Geordie', but I always felt it ended too soon. That last stanza ends on such a cliffhanger -- and here are my thoughts on what happened next, based a bit on other versions of the song but mostly on how I'd like the story to pan out. This was written for NaNoWriMo 2015 and has had no editing and only minimal proofreading, so please feel free to leave suggestions in the comments. I hope you enjoy it anyway.
