Emily Olivia Duncan is a 17 year old small town girl who lives in L.A. and lives with her two parents John and Emma Duncan who love her and are a bit over protective of her. She starts as a junior in high school and she usually doesn't get starstruck by guys. One day in her music class she and a boy named Ross are partnered to do a duet together they slowly come close friends with each other which they didn't expect let alone fall for each other.
