Rose turns 18 the day she is turned into a werewolf. At the age of 14 she was tortured and was given scars that would cause even the toughest men to have nightmares. As part of the torture Roses vocal cords were torn to shreds. The vampires had started a war and was making her an example of what happened to those who did not become slaves to the vampires.
At the age of 16 she became a liason between the werewolves and witches(she is a witch.
