There had been a foreboding feeling within my chest when I awoke that fateful morning. Looking back now, perhaps it was my long buried primitive instincts warning me, trying to broadcast through the technologically advanced world that everything was not as peaceful as it seemed. I wish I would have listened. Maybe then some of my friends would still be alive or at least they would have stayed dead. ***** "- you're kidding, right?" Matt asks, looking over at me and then back to Alex. I know that he's not though. Alex has finally decided that I'm not worth keeping around, so why not send me into an unknown building that could be swarmed with the undead? It would be one less mouth for him to feed, and one less person to challenge his authority. "She's a big girl," He mocks. "Isn't that right, sweetie?"
