If I Could Fly Away (Prologue)

One of the key beings in a supernatural organization, Sunny Bridges must lead a poweful army through a war against another 'gifted' force. These mutants appear human, but have otherworldy powers. Tanner, the founder of the elite organization uses heartless methods to recruit his subjects. For his evil ways, Sunny hates him, and longs for revenge. Even more so, she hates Joven, the new partener Tanner has just assigned her. Fortunately, they have a common enemy, Tanner. As the two overcome their hatred for eachother, they must face a new problem: their love. Now, turned against Tanner, the two realize that they aren't safe, together or apart. They must find a way to survive in the midst of a war with their fellow mutants, while also protecting each other from Tanner. Sunny and Joven must learn the cost of betraying their ruler, Tanner, and ultimately, the cost of love.
