Prologue: In the Night

“Who.Am.I?” I spat through clenched teeth.

Alastair shot a quick glance at Ken and Karl, before looking back at me apologetically.

“We don’t know.”

Kiri’s world is torn apart when she meets Ken and Karl. A lethal combination of bubbly, witty, and cynical the boys have been sent to retrieve Kiri’s best friend, Teal, to ensure that a prophecy as old as time is fulfilled. However, when the boys find Teal they discover that Kiri is not who they thought she’d be. Unknown to her, she is one of them. An elemental. But, who exactly is she?
