Chapter One: The Beginning

Lately, Mellie has been noticing strange things going on in the small town of Shadow Falls. Like how the street signs and stoplights disappeared. And all the dogs and cats just...were gone. Even her best friend Alex isn't the same. School's been shut down, due to a mysterious figure roaming the halls and kidnapping children. It all started with old Ms. Catzby's suicide, (or was it murder?) next door. Mellie can't understand. But when people are going missing one by one, she must make a choice: Flee Shadow Falls, or save her friends and risk her life?
