Untitled Part 1

INTRODUCTION
This cinquain is based on a story I was told by a friend, a resident of Lethbridge,, Alberta, whose family settled in the area in the early part of the twentieth century. I find it fascinating that so many seagulls continue to congregate over a city that is so far inland.

SEAGULLS
The gulls
circling Lethbridge
saved the starving farmers
by dropping seeds everywhere
