Author's Note

Jay is an outcast, haunted by the ghost of her mother, living with an abusive and alcoholic father. Her only hope is to graduate and go off to college leaving behind the small town she grew up in. She has her future planned out. She's got the good grades, the scholarship, and the determination, but then Daman comes into her life. He's cold, warm, distant, breathtaking, and dark all at once.

Daman opens Jay's eyes to the cold truth of her reality. The truth she has been trying to run away from: It won't end well for her. Daman offers Jay a way out of the darkness she's only ever known, but will Jay let Daman help her, or will she be sucked into the black hole that is her inevitable ending?
