In the night

Have you ever woken up early in the morning to find your parents crying in front of the television. Whispering things. Things like :
' they were so young'
' they were very brave out there'
' what did they do to deserve this'
Sometimes they'd even say:
' we're so lucky we weren't chosen'.

What if there was a reason for that in your perfect peaceful world what if it was because of destruction and chaos. Guns and bombs. Blood and screams. What if it was because of war.
