Katrina Petrova Pierce is Katherine Petrova's long lost twin sister. Katrina takes on the playful, kind, and intrigued side while Katherine took the vicious, mean, and disliked side of the two. Mistaked for Katherine, Katrina is kidnapped by the Salvatore brothers and interrogated to find out who she was. She finds out about the whole twin deal, and Elena being the Doppleganger of either Katrina or Katherine. While at the residence of the Salvatore Boarding House, Katrina finds herself intrigued by Damon and ends up falling for him even though she could tell Damon was blindly in love with Stephan's girl, the Doppleganger, Elena.
